Red Fox-TSL Challenge

The Festival Red Fox Elbrus Race came to the end traditionally with the snow-shoes run.

It's the most fervent event of the Festival. In spite of the weather was cloudy and gloomy yesterday all participants and the audience had a solar and joyful mood.


All difficulties remained behind. It is possible to relax after all prestarting excitements and to receive the fan and pleasure.



It was interesting to ask participants: "Why do you run on snow-shoes?"


We've received different answers on this question. Someone ran because never put on snow-shoes and considers that if there is an opportunity in life it is necessary to try everything. Someone ran simply for the company – mother who arrived with the son to support him in competitions, the father who arrived with the daughter and inspired her the example. Someone ran as Ilyas Achabayev for relaxing of tired muscles and body. The most severe athletes ran because set for itself the purpose to take part in all starts of the Red Fox Elbrus Race, for example, Yura Kurganov, one of the leaders of ski-mountaineering competitions.




As a result the winner of Vertical kilometer – Chernov Vitaly (Red Fox Team) became the winner among men, it passed the route in 31 minutes and 36 seconds. On the second place - Sokolov Ivan (31’37’’), he lagged behind for only one second. On the third place - Osipenko Alexander (31’48’’).


The first women place belong to Kravchenko Elena (Red Fox Team) finishing with result of 33 minutes and 41 seconds. On the second place - Vokueva Zhanna (35’10’’) and on the third – Rakhmankulova Elena (39’34’’)



Festival of extreme sports Red Fox Elbrus Race came to the end. This year it became really extreme – weather didn't allow participants to relax. Even rewarding took place during in the rain, accompanied periodically pouring heavy rain with a thunder-storm.

But then all participants and organizers poshed up on evening after-party in "Freeride".
